Why Is There An Anti-Smoking Laws In Canada - On May 31, 2006, new smoking bans went into effect in Ontario and Quebec, prohibiting smoking in closed public’ places and work places, including bars, restaurants, bingo halls and private clubs.
These establishments are not happy, proclaiming the new law will cost them money and clients.
The long-term health effects of smoking and secondhand smoke make these types of laws necessary to protect both the citizens and the environment.
The bottom line is, the health of the patrons non smoking and smoking, should be the main factor.
Why Is There An Anti-Smoking Laws In Canada

Would like to know if there is any bylaw, or something coming to cover people living in apartments/condos. People smoke out on their decks and it filters up big time into other peoples suites. By the strong smell, lots of times its seems they are smoking drugs and that really makes my sinues burn for days. One time it lead to sinus infection that took me 3 months to get cleared up.
Thanks for direction or reply regarding the law for apartments.
